Mr. Thushara is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) and holds an MBA from the University of Colombo (UOC). He also earned a Special Degree in Business Management (Accountancy) with Second Class Upper Division honors from the University of Kelaniya (UOK). He is a member of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka, the Institute of Certified Professional Managers of Sri Lanka, and the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), UK.

With over two decades of experience in accounting, auditing, compliance, and risk management, Mr. Thushara began his professional career at Ernst & Young (Sri Lanka & Maldives), where he completed his CA Sri Lanka articleship. He subsequently progressed to senior leadership roles across leading conglomerates in Sri Lanka and the Fiji Islands.

Prior to joining Janashakthi Finance PLC, he served as Chief Risk Officer at Senkadagala Finance PLC for 15 years, leading the internal audit, compliance, and enterprise risk functions.
